JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Coordinator of Wound Care Department, provides patient with care that is continuously evaluated, planned for, and revised as needed; patient's status is documented within the reassessments; patient care needs; interventions to meet the patient's needs; nursing care provided; the patient's response to; and the outcome of care provided; organizes and prioritizes work to provide health information, discharge planning, and patient care in a safe environment to maximize health in the continuum of care and protect the patient; assumes responsibility for and assigned group of patients and be accountable for an assessment of the patient's basic human needs, enabling team of providers to make appropriate decisions to develop, implement and evaluate a plan for care, to include bio-physical needs, bio-psychological needs, environmental/safety needs, self care needs, educational needs, discharge planning needs; professional and competent as a care provider, a leader of personnel, and a collaborator with other professionals; demonstrates awareness of his/her unique position in the Department and responsibilities as a professional nurse through accurate, clear, concise and timely written and oral communications.

NOTE:  This position will be employed by Wound Care Advange which is a company that will be providing wound care services at Newton Newton Medical Center.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school graduate.

2. Additional education preferred

3. Minimum of two (2) years medical office experience preferred.

4. Computer experience in word processing, database programs and spreadsheets.

5. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills.

6. Medical accounts billing experience desirable.

7. Transcription experience desirable.
