JOB SUMMARY:      The Business Development Representative will be responsible with meeting or exceeding established program sales and/or market share targets and calling plan goals within assigned geographies.  The duties include meeting with physicians and other decision makers, meeting sales goals, and other related duties. The assigned area is primarily Newton and Rockdale Counties but also Henry, Walton, Morgan, Jasper, Putnam and Butts County will be periodically covered.    

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:       

  • Consistently meets and exceeds established program sales goals and market share targets within territory by delivering sales programs and utilizing effective sales techniques and promotional materials in order to influence targeted physicians. 
  • Achieves daily/monthly/quarterly sales call activity/client deliverables by gaining access to prescribing decision makers and influencing purchasing decisions.
  • Possesses solid knowledge and understanding of all assigned hospital products lines and services and competitor products.  
  • Maintains current and competent working knowledge of product lines to educate physicians and increase customer's likeliness to utilize hospital services.
  • Meets call expectations for all required physician face-to-face calls.
  • Builds strong relationships and customer loyalty.
  • Tracks and reports weekly physician office interactions.
  • Maintains current physician database for territory on visit activity and results.      

QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                                                                                    

Education, Training and other required requirements:  Bachelors Degree in related field preferred.   

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in physician business development, pharmaceutical sales or medical device sales preferred.
