JOB SUMMARY:      The Medical Assistant performs a variety of back office duties.

  • Keep log books up to date.
  • Checks in patients, including vital signs and taking patient to a room.
  • Inputs lab results in EMR after signed by physician or other provider.
  • Performs lab tests. 
  • Order medical supplies and immunizations.
  • Check expiration dates on all medications.
  • Handle phone calls for doctors.
  • Give injections.
  • Keep drug closet up to date on medication log.

REQUIREMENTS - High school graduate or equivalent; Experience in a physicians practice or clinic needed; Prefer OB/GYN experience; Maintains current CPR card; Attends annual mock code class
