As a hospitable hospital we expect everyone to do their part for our customers including:

- Respond to customer’s requests promptly.
- Treat other employees as a customer.
Professional in Attitude, Appearance and Actions
Our customers expect a high level of professionalism from our staff and we expect our staff to demonstrate an “it’s my job” attitude and to maintain professional appearance. Professional appearance at Newton Medical Center does not include:
- Visible body piercing jewelry other than two earrings in each ear lobe (women only).
- Visible tattoos.
- Extremes in hair color or style.
Smoking on hospital property.
Maintain a clean and well-kept facility
We maintain a clean facility, not only because of our housekeeping staff, but because we expect everyone to help maintain the facility.
Patient Safety
We follow Joint Commission’s accreditation of hospitals national patient safety goals and expect all employees to communicate any unsafe conditions they observe.
