JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Director of the Birthcare Center is a professional registered nurse who has the responsibility for the management and coordination of all activities of the unit.  The Clinical Director has a thorough knowledge of the hospital philosophy and objectives, policies and procedures, and organization structure, the basic principles of nursing management and interpersonal relationships, and the day-to-day operations of the unit supervised to include staffing requirements, methods of patient care delivery, current nursing practices, financial performance issues and the budgeting process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of Georgia. A Bachelor of Science degree or higher degree in nursing is preferable.
  • Has 3 to 5 years of nursing experience in progressively higher nursing positions with demonstrated management skills.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of current trends and techniques related to area of responsibility.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of hospital and department policy/procedure and organizational structure.
